 English Corner BBQ at Jericho Beach Summer 2007 Is English your second, third, or fourth language? Do you find Canadian English different from what you've learned in the past? We're here to help! Each week, English Corner
provides a place to come and discuss English idioms, learn new
vocabulary, practice Canadian pronunciation, and participate in other
activities to help you polish your conversation skills. You are
invited to come talk with native English speakers and meet other people
from countries around the world. To enhance the Canadian cultural learning experience, the English Corner group is occasionally invited to holiday meals and other gatherings sponsored by Point@UBC, a church that meets on the UBC campus. These special events are not required, but everyone is most welcome to attend.
